　　了解细胞在某一条件下的基因表达，对阐明生命过程(如生长发育与分化、细胞凋亡与衰老等生理过程)以及炎症、肿瘤、心脑血管疾病等病理过程极为重要。DD方法在应用中被不断完善，同时也有更新的技术问世，如DNA microarrays^［24］，把大量寡核苷酸片段排列在相似于一种大规模集成电路式的生物芯片上，一次可完成数量相当可观的反应，提供的信息是目前所有基因表达研究技术不可比拟的。但是，该方法在反应信号检测与数据处理等方面需要昂贵设备，比较起来，DD方法还是有其优越性，如果实验设计合理，技术应用得当，相信对分子生物学研究有帮助。
