Step 6 Presentation

Tell the Ss to look at Wang Wei’s address. Point out that the address in English starts with the smallest element the room) and ends with the biggest (the city or province). Look at Wb Lesson 63, Ex. 2 and make a comparison. Write the school address on the Bb. Then get some Ss to write their address on the Bb. Make sure they write their address correctly.

Point out the position of the address, date and Wang Wei’s name in her letter.

   Explanation

1. Thank you for your last letter.

 “谢谢你…”"for…" 表示感谢的原因。

2. The weather gets warmer.
get 为 link v. + adj. (表语) 表“逐渐变得”

3. The trees turn green.

同上句一样，turn link v

  Her face turns red.
系动词get和 turn的用法：get表示“渐渐变得”，后面加形容词的原级或比较级

In winter, the day get shorter.

turn主要用于表现颜色的变化，后面加上表示颜色的形容词。e.g.：

Her face turns red when the teacher asks her to answer questions.

4. I often go swimming.
go 和 come 后常跟doing 形式表示进行室外活动，如可跟dancing, climbing, fishing, riding, driving, shopping, skating, skiing, swimming, waterskiing, boating, sightseeing etc.

5.The farmers are all busy, getting ready for the next year.

getting ready for….是 get ready for 的分词形式，“为…作准备”，后面接名词。

next year 明年（未来的时间）

  the next year  第二年（过去的时间）
